Castaic lake is located in northern Los Angeles County, just 45 miles north of downtown L.A., and 40 miles south of the Grapevine, off the 5 Freeway in the City of Castaic. Exit either Lake Hughes Road, or Parker Rd., and go east. To visit the main Launch Ramp, follow Lake Hughes Road 2 miles up the hill to the entrance – on the left. This lake is full of stripers, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and catfish.

The Castaic Lake Lagoon is located in northern Los Angeles County, just 45 miles north of downtown L.A., and 40 miles south of the Grapevine, off the 5 Freeway in the City of Castaic. Exit either Lake Hughes Road, or Parker Rd., and go east. You will see the lagoon on the left-hand side of the road as you are heading towards the upper lake. Gasoline powered engines are not permitted to be operated on this lake. You must use your electric trolling motor only. During the springtime, the crawdad bite can be epic here for large trophy bass.

Pyramid Lake is located just outside of Gorman along Interstate I-5 in the Angeles National Forest on Piru Creek. The lake is 17 miles south of Frazier Park California and 20 miles north of Magic Mountain Amusement Park in Valencia California. Exit the I-5 North freeway exit Smokey Bear Road and turn left. Then turn left again to get you to the lake. This lake is full of stripers, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and catfish.
